An incredible number of events and developments will be happening in Birmingham in 2023. Some of them are massive changes to the city itself and would change the city as we know it others are amazing experiences that are coming to the city for a short period of time.
From Johnny Depp to The Lion King to more housing and railway stations - there is something new happening in each sector of Birmingham.
2022 was a great year for the city with the Commonwealth Games 2022 helping the spotlight fall on the second city of England, and in 2023 there will be more such things.
Here are 11 incredible things that will happen in 2023:
1. World Indoor Athletics Championships at the Arena in Birmingham

2. Crufts by The Kennel Club in NEC, Birmingham

3. The Bond on Fazeley Street in Digbeth
Plans to transform The Bond on Fazeley Street in Digbeth, Birmingham, have been unveiled. With BBC Midlands moving to Digbeth this will be a great place for creative professionals.
4. Pineapple Road Station in Stirchley
Pineapple Road in Stirchley will get a new railway station along with a new one in Moseley and in Kings Heath. The work on the Pineapple Road station will start in January 2023.
