The baby is alive, and after his wife passed away without seeing their newborn baby, her husband is now begging people to get their vaccine.

As more information about the vaccine and its possible side effects were revealed, many pregnant women opted against having the vaccine whilst pregnant.

Luckily, Dua Maryam was born healthy and is still doing well, but her mother was sadly unable to ever hold the newborn, as she passed away.

After his wife was never able to hold her baby, and his daughter growing up without a mother, Majid Ghafur is now pleading with everyone to do their bit, and get fully vaccinated.

After his wife’s sad passing, Mr Ghafur is now caring for their five children, all daughters: Noor, 13; Hibbah, 8; Imaan, 11; Ayesha, 7, and newborn Dua.

He was able to visit his wife during her stay in intensive care, but their children had to say their goodbyes via Facetime, and were not allowed contact with their mother.

Speaking to Sky News, Majid said: “I’m going to pass this message to whole world, I just beg all people to get the vaccine, otherwise it’s very hard for them. It’s a very deadly disease, you know”.

This comes as the Health Secretary, Savid Javid has urged all people eligible for their booster to get them, before the winter firmly sets in. A new cry of ‘save Christmas’ is slowly emerging from Westminster in a bid to maximise booster jabs in those who are eligible.

The UK is still seeing a high number of cases reported per week, with 23, 319 new cases reported on the 7th of November, and the seven day average coming in at 28,612.

In Birmingham, the past week saw 3,046 new cases, which was a slight decrease on the week before.
