The internationally acclaimed singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, who has previously received glowing endorsement from Michelle Obama, will take to the stage at Birmingham Town Hall this December.

Internationally acclaimed U.S. singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Jarrod Lawson, is set to electrify the UK this December with three unmissable performances, including Birmingham Town Hall on the 4th December.

Hailing from Oregon, Jarrod Lawson has taken his sound global, performing to packed audiences in Tokyo, Beijing, Melbourne, and at Indonesia’s renowned Java Jazz Festival. Among his many European festival appearances are Love Supreme and the North Sea Jazz Festival. In the U.S., he’s graced many of the most revered jazz venues from New York to Seattle, cementing his place among today’s most respected soul and jazz artists.

Lawson’s meteoric rise was propelled even further by a glowing endorsement from none other than Michelle Obama. His debut self-titled album in 2014 shook up the soul and jazz scenes, earning comparisons to icons like Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, and Marvin Gaye. His music blends elements of jazz, soul, funk, and gospel in a way that has resonated with audiences around the globe.

Lawson recently released a retro soul duet “Next Move” with Los Angeles vocalist Raquel Rodriguez. The song went straight to #1 on the iTunes UK R&B Songs chart and has also topped the UK Soul Top 30 chart. America’s Vibe magazine enthused “We’re so in love with Next Move. It feels like bliss”.
