Midlands factory celebrates 20 years supplying nearby Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and has assembled 10 million modules for the company. Experience from the Midlands site is helping other plants around the world to improve.

A Solihull factory manufacturing parts for Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) celebrated its 20th anniversary this week.

Since 2004, the ZF Foxconn Chassis Modules plant has been a vital part of the JLR supply chain producing over 10 million parts for cars such as the Land Rover Discovery, Jaguar XJ and Range Rover.

According to the firm's CEO, knowledge and experience from the Solihull team has helped the business improve performance and quality across its sister ZF Foxconn factories around the world.

"The Solihull plant’s 20 year success story marks a special milestone for our global company. I appreciate our colleague’s work here very much because we have been able to successfully transfer their immense expertise from the Midlands to many more of our international plants.

The flexible 4,000 square metre plant is designed to cope with any changes in customer demands with the production line employing 61 cameras and 71 individual inspections to keep the award-winning factory's quality at the highest level.
