Hide AdBirmingham Hospice is the primary provider of adult hospice care in Birmingham and the surrounding areas. This year, the hospice needs to raise £6.5 million through fundraising activity, income from shops and voluntary donations to cover their running costs.

The money raised through Treecycling will help the charity to provide expert, compassionate and personalised care, at a time when costs are increasing and it’s becoming harder to fund vital services.
As well as making a difference to local people living with a terminal diagnosis, Treecycling is a convenient, environmentally friendly way to dispose of your Christmas tree.
After your tree has been collected by volunteers, it will be chipped and turned into biomass fuel – taking the hassle out of disposing of your tree and saving it from going to landfill.

Hide AdJess Turner, Community Fundraising Manager at Birmingham Hospice, said: “Treecycling is a huge campaign for us and we’re so excited to be able to continue bringing a great environmental service to local people. It’s a hugely important fundraiser for us, having raised over £600,000 since 2011.

“By booking your collection and supporting Birmingham Hospice, you will make a difference to local people living with a terminal diagnosis, while making your life easier and being kinder to the environment – what’s not to love?
“A huge thank you to all of our Treecycling partners, especially Fitzgerald Contractors Ltd, and to all of our wonderful volunteers who help with collecting and chipping the trees – we couldn’t do what we do without you!”
Bookings are now open and will close on Monday 6 January at 11pm.
