The well-established annual music festival, which ran from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 July 2025, featured headline appearances from Maribou State and Groove Armada (Friday), War and Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 (Saturday), and Ezra Collective and Jalen N'gonda (Sunday).
Based at Moseley Park, a private greenspace in the suburb of Moseley, organisers upped the capacity of the festival site to attempt to cope with increased demand. However, Weekend tickets still sold out well in advance of the event.
Taking to social media in the wake of the event, festival organisers thanked acts and attendees and acknowledged their "record-breaking year," adding: "We'd also like to take the time to thank you all for making this weekend one for the books, we have too many highlights to count, and we can't thank you enough for being a fantastic audience, one of community and love."
The three-day outdoor Mostly Jazz enjoyed temperatures of up to 32°C as the UK enjoyed a third summer heatwave.
Mostly Jazz Funk and Soul Festival's Manager, John Fell, said: "It was certainly the sunniest Mostly any of us can remember, and there were some incredible performances, including Jalen Ngonda, Groove Armada, War – in our ‘legends’ spot – and, of course, Ezra Collective, who are one of the biggest acts right now.
"The demand for tickets this year was also phenomenal too. Even though we slightly reconfigured the site, so we could help cope with demand and increase capacity, we still sold out of Weekend tickets over a month before the festival.
"We had record numbers attending!"
Mostly Jazz Funk and Soul Festival returns next year from Friday 10 Sunday 12 July 2026.
Tickets are on sale now to previous attendees and email subscribers, and on general sale from 10am Friday 18 July 2025.
