MAN Commercial Protection wanted to mark its 30th anniversary in business by giving back to the communities it operates in and has raised over £7000 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity to help the hospital’s Paediatric Intensive Care Unit.
The Solihull-based company, which provides security guarding to a range of high-profile clients and events across the UK, encouraged all its 1800 members of staff to take part in the activities, which included climbing Snowdon in Wales, hosting special pool tournaments, cake sales and a series of events where suppliers and customers pledged funds.

“Our 30th year in business seemed the perfect opportunity to try to do something special and complete our largest ever fundraise – something we have achieved by raising £20,000 that is being split across three fantastic organisations that do so much for children, families and individuals.
“Birmingham Children’s Hospital cared for a staff member’s child, and we’ve never forgotten that. The donation will go towards the amazing work of the intensive care unit that looks after patients at their sickest, often giving them another chance of life.
“The money we have raised through the efforts of our employees, our suppliers and our clients will make such a difference to thousands of kids and their families.”

“Every patient and family benefits from the charity, but the impact of fundraising is much more than purely financial,” added Katie Harris, Corporate Partnerships Officer at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
“It makes a real difference to the spaces, treatment and equipment we provide to children and their families, many of whom are going through some of the toughest moments of their lives. It’s only thanks to kindness and generosity of companies like MAN Commercial Protection that we can do more for our sick kids.”
In addition to Birmingham’s Children Hospital, MAN Commercial Protection will also provide large donations to Walk Talk Action and Hope House Children’s Hospice.
