Local writer, Martin Seary, has new sci-fi book published, inspired by his work in I.T and Black Mirror…

Martin explains, ‘This has been several years in the making and the inspiration has certainly been my time in the corporate world as I work professionally in I.T. I was also fascinated with the idea of AI becoming homogenised into normal society and the poor decisions we may end up making in this regard, driven by our own vanity.’
As Martin works in the world of I.T he sees first-hand the exciting pace at which technology is progressing, and has used this to influence his book.

Hide AdMartin continues, ‘AI is on every one lip’s right now, in almost every sector of the industry and mainstream media. There couldn’t be a better time for Company Man to hit the market and hopefully emote powerful questions about the topic in those that read it. I honestly think this will hit some nerves in a powerful way, due to the prescient lens I’ve attempted to put on our future, approximately 170 years from now. Basing some of the concepts on a natural evolution of where we stand today as a society.’
If you’re a lover of sci-fi thriller films like Total Recall and Equilibrium you will love this book. It’s insidiously gut-punching and riveting story will leave you wanting more.
What’s next for Martin?
‘I already have a sequel planned to Company Man, so if readers want it, let me know in Amazon reviews! I have a fantastic twist planned for the follow up.’
