Sixth formers and their teachers at Lift Greenwood, part of Lift Schools, are celebrating their A Level and vocational qualifications results.

After two years of hard work and dedication by students, with support from their families and teachers, students are finding out how they have done and where they will be going next.

Lift Greenwood is celebrating particularly strong results achieved by many students including:

  • Benjamin Rudd achieved A in Psychology, B in Biology and C in Chemistry and is going to the University of Leeds to study Neuroscience.
  • Rhian Wood achieved a B in English Language, B in Sociology and a Merit in Business.
  • Maria Weston Achieved a C in English Language, D in English literature and C in History and is going to the University of Chester to study History.

This year’s cohort were in year 8 at the start of the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, with uncertainties and disruption as they prepped for their A Levels. The resilience and hard work shown by this group of students has been impressive, reflected both in their results and determination to do well.

To help prepare for this year’s examinations, the school has run extra classes including holiday sessions and provided additional 1:1 online tutoring with fantastic support from the teaching staff.

Principal at Lift Greenwood, Daniel Opoku, said:

“I am delighted and proud of our students who have worked hard, and demonstrated real commitment to their studies, with many going onto university, further study or apprenticeships. I wish our amazing students all the very best in the future: their resilience and strength of character will take them far.”

Regional education director at Lift Schools, Nabila Jiwa said:

“Another year of strong results from our students who display such excellent characteristics every year. Despite some hardships and challenges, every one of our students has stepped up to try their absolute best. Well done everyone.”

Rebecca Boomer-Clark, CEO of Lift Schools said:

“Many congratulations to all of our students who yet again have achieved fantastic results. We know that our young people have faced many challenges and I want to commend them for their hard work, tenacity and determination to succeed.”
