Lichfield care home celebrates successful grand opening with first resident

Stowe Mount care home, the latest addition to the Crystal Care Collection family, officially opened its doors with a vibrant Grand Opening celebration recently.

The event welcomed local dignitaries, entertainers, families, and future residents to mark the beginning of a new chapter in care for the Lichfield community.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by the Deputy Mayor of Lichfield, Councillor Rosie Harvey-Coggins, who delivered a heartfelt speech commending the importance of high-quality care facilities and the positive impact Stowe Mount will have on the local area.

The celebration was made even more special by the presence of Stowe Mount’s first resident, Yvonne Coombes, who shared her thoughts on her new home: "From the moment I got here, the staff have been so wonderful and so good to me—they will do anything for me. Oh, and I love my room!"

Cathy Coulson, the General Manager at Stowe Mount, added: "We’d like to thank the Lichfield community for joining us and making our Grand Opening such a special day.

"We’re proud to be bringing a new standard of care to Lichfield, where every resident is treated with compassion. We’re excited to be welcoming our next residents over the coming weeks, giving them a home they can be proud of."
