Let the games begin: Funstation set to open its most impressive venue at Merry Hill
Merry Hill is levelling up its leisure line-up once again, with the arrival of the UK’s most fun-packed entertainment experience opening later this year.
Funstation, the family entertainment brand known for its vibrant mix of arcade games, immersive attractions and unforgettable prizes, is bringing its most impressive flagship venue concept to date to the West Midlands.
The 23,700 sq ft venue will be home to Carnival Golf & Games!, a bold new concept combining Funstation’s most loved attractions, created during its 20 years in the UK, all under one roof. Whether you're unleashing your inner gamer, puzzling your way out of an escape room, or teeing off on a wild mini-golf adventure, the exciting new Merry Hill location will offer something for all ages.
At its heart is Carnival Golf, a brilliantly bizarre mini-gold course bursting with colourful surprises. It’s joined by two more themed courses and a signature blend of immersive video, VR games, and, for the first time at Merry Hill, Breakout Escape Rooms, transforming the experience into an all-in-one destination for family-friendly fun.
The arrival of Funstation will complete the transformation of the former Debenhams space, joining Harvey Norman and XF Gym to form a diverse new trio of anchor brands. It also builds on the huge popularity of Merry Hill’s leisure quarter, which has seen footfall rise by over 26% since the opening of Hollywood Bowl, making it one of the centre’s most visited areas.

Funstation’s upcoming opening comes at an exciting time, as Merry Hill continues transform how its visitors spend time at the centre with a lineup of incredible events. The world’s first fully immersive QR code trail, Qrious Quest, is set to make its debut at the centre later this month, giving families and game-lovers an interactive and completely free activity to enjoy this summer.
