Care UK invited students from Abbey Catholic Primary School to get creative and produce a piece of artwork around the theme of ‘Who do you care about?’ The artwork has now been used to decorate the hoardings surrounding the new care home, which is currently under construction on Orphanage Road.
The purpose-built care home – which is expected to open its doors in spring 2026 – will provide full-time residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 77 older people, with facilities including its own cinema, hair salon, café and landscaped gardens.
