Emma Hewitt is a Business Awards Adviser, on a mission to help small business owners approach awards with confidence. Emma was recently presented with her SBS (Small Business Sunday) winner's certificate by Theo Paphitis at the SBS Event in Birmingham. A day spent meeting other small business owners from across the UK, and drawing inspiration from excellent speakers made her more determined than ever to raise awareness of the value of building an awards strategy for your business.

Emma says, "There are thousands of business awards out there, which can be overwhelming, but using awards strategically will boost your visibility, credibility and opportunities. It's a marketing masterstroke that too many business owners miss out on, often due to misinformation and myth"

Awards are more than trophies, they are opportunities to reflect and review your achievements, boost your visibility, expand your network and position your business for success and growth.

The SBS community is an excellent example of the wider benefits of awards. Small business champion and Ryman Stationery, Robert Dyas and Boux Avenue Chairman, Theo Paphitis, said: “We are thrilled to welcome new #SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK. My vision is that everyone who has ever won an #SBS re-post from me becomes part of a friendly club; like-minded individuals who can share successes and learnings.”

When you use awards strategically they are not win or lose, the are win, win, win!
