This year's edition is particularly poignant, following the recent passing of Peter McEvoy OBE, the tournament's namesake and a stalwart of amateur golf.
Tournament Director Ian Davidson said: “During day one here at Copt Heath we’ve been blessed with both wonderful weather, and the best of British junior golf.
“With both boys and girls playing in a fabulous tournament, we’ve currently got a duo of boys leading at six under par. The tournament record is 12 under, meaning day two tomorrow (Friday) with rounds three and four is going to build to a fantastic climax.
“If you’re able to make it down to Copt Heath Golf Club for Friday’s final, you’re more than welcome!”
