Cockshut Hill Learners conquer Bromsgrove on challenging DofE Expedition
Learners from Cockshut Hill School, part of the Summit Learning Trust, have returned triumphant from their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award qualifying expedition, held in Bromsgrove this month.
Despite facing challenging conditions, the learners displayed exceptional resilience, teamwork, and determination throughout the two-day trek.

Hide AdNavigating and camping in the Bromsgrove terrain, the learners supported each other through various obstacles, including fatigue, blisters, and adverse weather. Their spirits remained high, demonstrating a strong sense of camaraderie and perseverance. Each group embraced the expedition's aims, focusing on exploring local wildlife and strengthening team connections.

PE Teacher Jack Mills praised the groups’ achievements and the contributions of volunteers George Smith and Vivian Adderley. He noted, "Despite the challenging conditions, our learners (and volunteers!) demonstrated incredible resilience, teamwork, and determination."
He also encouraged the school community to congratulate the following learners on their hard work: Ziad, Hadi, Om, Izzy, Ava, Bella, and Alessia.
