The EPIC Awards 2024 will take place on 18th October 2024, celebrating the entrepreneurial achievements of young innovators across the UK. This prestigious event, hosted by EPIC Entrepreneurs C.I.C., will be held at The Burlington Hotel in Birmingham, shining a light on the remarkable journeys of young people who have faced adversity and turned their business dreams into reality.

Launched in 2018, EPIC was born out of a passion to empower entrepreneurial youth, specifically those facing adversity. Originally founded as part of the Martin James Foundation by Ayyab and Jim Cockburn, EPIC has made it its mission to close the gap for young people by providing coaching, mentoring, masterclasses, grant funding, plus meaningful opportunities and support. Since its inception, EPIC has helped over 100 young entrepreneurs develop skills, confidence, and the necessary resources to launch their own businesses.

“We are excited to recognise the incredible talent and resilience of young entrepreneurs at this year’s EPIC Awards,” said Calum Sawford, Director of EPIC. “Every journey from dream to realisation is filled with challenges, and the successes we celebrate are a testament to their hard work and determination.”

The EPIC Awards will feature several categories, including Inspirational Founder, Sustainability Champion, and Community Impact Award, among others. Attendees will enjoy keynote addresses from former EPIC entrepreneurs, inspiring stories from award nominees, and networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration and mentorship.

As part of its evolution, EPIC recently became a Community Interest Company (CIC), allowing for greater flexibility and dynamism in its partnerships and advocacy efforts. The organisation continues to build on its foundational programs, including the Young Business Programme, which has seen over 50 graduates since its launch in 2022.
