A total of 12 West Midlands companies have been honoured with the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in various categories, recognising their exceptional achievements and contributions to innovation, trade, and sustainable development.

West Midlands businesses operating in a broad range of industries, including an innovative defence and security firm, a longstanding manufacturer and a technology repair business, have been named as winners of the King's Awards for Enterprise.

The awards are designed to recognise and encourage outstanding achievements in the fields of Innovation, International Trade, Sustainable Development and Promoting Opportunity (through social mobility).

This year, 197 businesses representing a range of sectors, have been recognised by The King. Of these, a total of 12 awards went to businesses in the West Midlands. Seven were recognised in the International Trade category, four for Innovation, and one for Sustainable Development.

Gareth Thomas, minister for services, small businesses and exports, said: "There are some fantastic West Midlands businesses recognised in this year's King’s Awards for Enterprise: from Level Peaks' innovative security and defence equipment to TMT First's contributions to the circular economy.

"I wish the winners every success as they continue to grow, innovate and prosper, and commend the invaluable contributions they have already made to communities at home in the West Midlands and abroad, helping to boost the UK economy."
