With Christmas coming in just a few days many bargain hunters will be looking forward to the following day.
For years now, Boxing Day has been the best day for people all across the UK flock to the shops to find incredible bargains from all their favourite high street retailers.
After COVID restrictions last year, and uncertainty this year many retailers are opting to close their stores on the big day.
However, some have already launched their huge sales. Potentially in anticipation for more restrictions rumoured to come into place after Christmas Day.
This week there Next revealed a many shake up to their usual Boxing Day festivities by announcing that they will not be opening their doors this year.
The Boxing Day sale is usually Next’s biggest sale of the year, and usually one of the busiest stores of the day with thousands of people rushing to their locations to grab the best deals.
In previous years Next has opened their doors as early as 6:00AM, and seen people lined up outside them even earlier, so this will not cause a huge shift in the day.
The company is offering discounts as high as 50%, however, if you’re a Nextpay member you can take advantage of the sales now.
Like most high street retailers, H&M have opted to launch their sale in-store and online early. The discounts arrived at H&M on December 20 (6 Days before Boxing Day!)
The company is offering 50% off across all their departments and most of their ranges.
However, in previous years they have increased this to 75% off so definitely keep an eye out for some steals.
Sport Direct are expected to launch further reductions on Boxing Day this year, and the sale is expected to run right into the new year. Offering clearance products with up to 70% off!

More information on this can be found online as we get closer to the big day.
New Look is offering up to 60% off their sale items, and are expected to add further reductions like previous years. The stores are expected to open this Boxing Day.
Currys will be launching their sales this Boxing day. The stores are expected to open on shortened operating hours, this may change depending on restrictions.
Currys usually offer great discounts on Laptops, TV’s, smartwatches and other appliances.
Zara is expected to open this Boxing Day, however the company is notoriously secretive about their sales.
They are expected to launch more deals come Boxing Day, and previous sales this year have seen discounts of up to 45%.

The sale is usually in store, with the odd discount online. They are expected to launch on the 26th!
Sainburys and Argos
Sainsbury’s Chief Executive confirmed earlier this year that it will be keeping both stores shut on Boxing Day this year.
However, Argos is expected to offer some great deals when the doors open again. Last year the retailer offered discounts of up to 75% across all product departments including TV’s, smart home devices and fashion.
John Lewis will be closing their doors on Boxing Day this year.
John Lewis has been a leader in offering the best bargains for shoppers, and it is expected to be the same when they open on Monday 27th December.
Most of the stores will be offering late night shopping at reduced numbers, however, the company advises shoppers to check online with their local stores before going.
