Joining as a director and the new regional head of Midlands and South West, Emily Filer brings experience from across the property sector. Having held roles at Gowling WLG, CBRE, Lambert Smith Hampton and St Modwen, her detailed market knowledge and leadership experience will be a significant asset to Avison Young colleagues and clients.

Arriving alongside Emily is Jenny Hemstock as a director in the real estate management team. Jenny spent the past 14 years at JLL, where she developed extensive sector expertise and a reputation for delivering excellent outcomes for clients.

In their new positions, Emily and Jenny will be working across commercial property management mandates, with clients including the major mixed-use Typhoo Wharf redevelopment project in Birmingham, which Avison Young was appointed to manage earlier this year.

Together, they will play a key role in supporting the growth of the firm's real estate management offer across the Midlands and South West, enhancing service delivery for clients and strengthening Avison Young’s presence in key regional markets.

Guy Thompson, principal for real estate, facilities and infrastructure management at Avison Young, said: “The addition of Emily and Jenny to our real estate management delivery team is central to our strategy of managing prestigious assets for our long-standing clients, as well as new clients that we are currently onboarding.

“Our approach is to always ensure we’re providing access to highly experienced and knowledgeable experts that totally understand the expectations of today’s discerning occupiers.

“Through the appointment of Emily and Jenny as directors, we’re in a brilliant position to provide our clients with even greater confidence and expert consultancy in the ever-evolving property and estate management environment.’’

Emily Filer, director and regional head of Midlands and South West real estate management at Avison Young, added: “Avison Young has built an outstanding reputation for delivering best-in-class real estate management services and creating long-term value for clients. The strength of the team, the quality of the client base and the collaborative culture were all clear to me from the outset.

“The Midlands and South West continue to see significant investment and transformation, creating exciting opportunities for owners, occupiers and investors alike. With strong momentum already behind the business and an impressive pipeline of new instructions, I’m looking forward to working with colleagues across the region to drive further growth.”

Jenny Hemstock, a director at Avison Young, added: “This is an exciting time to be joining Avison Young. The business has a strong presence across the Midlands region and is trusted to manage some of the most high-profile and complex assets in the market.

“I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to the team, working closely with clients and helping to ensure their assets are performing at their full potential while creating positive experiences for occupiers and visitors alike.”
