Millions of pounds have poured into the first phase of the project.

The English Cities Fund (ECF) had secured £18 million from the West Midlands Combined Authority, in addition to £65 million secured through private funding.

The construction work itself is led by Caddick Construction.

The company is working with the ECF and Wolverhampton Council to deliver Bicycle Works to the city.

Builders working on the project have been busy and have made massive headway in the months since the project first launched in March.

Once the works are completed, it is hoped that there will be 1,000 new homes in the area as well as new public spaces, shops and amenities.

The 12 acres of land being used for the project will bring School Street and Darlington Street together around Market Square.
