Age UK Birmingham, an independent charity which offers services to support older people, their families and carers, has benefited from fundraising activity by Bevan Brittan colleagues since it was selected to be one of its office charities in May.
Now, the firm is making an additional £25,000 donation to the organisation as part of its ongoing commitment to the communities where it is based.

The charity will use the funds to further enhance its current programmes that focus on supporting individuals living with dementia, as well as initiatives aimed at promoting social inclusion and wellbeing activities. The donation will also enable the charity to expand its services, provide more comprehensive support and foster a sense of community and belonging through its work.
This is the latest in a series of annual festive donations which Bevan Brittan has made to a range of charities and not-for-profits, and the second consecutive year that the firm has donated £100,000 in total to four organisations.
Julia Jones, Partner and Community Engagement Lead at Bevan Brittan’s Birmingham office, said: “This is a time when most people are looking forward to seeing family and friends, but Age UK Birmingham and the other organisations we are supporting will be doing vital work throughout the festive period to help those whose Christmases may be very different.

It is important that we make a positive contribution to the communities where we work and do all we can to help these organisations, especially at this time of the year when demand for their services will be higher.
“Fundraising for all charities and not-for-profit organisations in the current climate remains difficult, so we know how important it is that they continue to get as much support as they can.”
In addition to Age UK Birmingham, the other organisations that will each receive £25,000 are:
· 1625 Independent People in Bristol, which supports young people in the city who are homeless, leaving care or at risk of homelessness;
