The company said the cost of living and post-pandemic economy had contributed to the hotel’s closure.

“We tried in every way to save the business that we love but like so many others we never really recovered from the financial burden caused by the pandemic and the loans and debts that we built up.
“More recently our costs have spiralled and we’ve seen a dip in demand due to the cost of living crisis. Individually each of these might have been survivable but troubles rarely travel alone.
“Over the last few months and weeks we have been exploring all the options to overcome these enormous challenges, not least out of loyalty to our fabulous team but also because in our hearts we continue to believe in Staying Cool. Sadly, it has not been possible and ultimately we have concluded that there is no option but to wind up our wonderful business.
