Countdown is on to celebrate RSPCA’s 200th birthday event in Birmingham area

Animal lovers and families from the West Midlands are invited to join in the celebrations as part of the RSPCA’s One Fun Day which will be held simultaneously at various locations across the country.
RSPCA Birmingham Animal Centre will be hosting a One Fun Day from 10: 30am until 3pm which will include lots of activities for all the family - those two-legged and four!

Hide AdThere will be a whole variety of fabulous events lined up including a dog show with seven classes, and some fun dog agility, doggy dash, and doggy scent games.


There will also be a children’s fancy dress competition, martial arts demonstrations and workshops, a performance by the amazing Bournville Clarinet quartet choir. There’s a brilliant raffle with more than 20 prizes so far; such as paintball for 10, family swimming day pass, pizza meal voucher, virtual reality experience for four - to name but a few.
There will also be various craft and food stalls, face painting, hair braiding and even glitter tattoos.
Organisers are also on the look out for help - including a plea for some outdoor seating they can use - either some chairs or even hay or straw bales. There is still also time for more stall holders to sign up and anyone wanting to help or take part please email [email protected]

Hide AdTickets are also now available for the raffle and you can buy them by either popping into the centre from 11am-3pm (except Wednesdays).£1 per ticket or £5 for a strip.
The event will be one of more than 70 events, which are also being held up and down the country at RSPCA animal centres, shops and other surprising locations!

One Fun Day is an annual event on the RSPCA calendar - but this year it is extra special because the charity is celebrating its 200th anniversary - with the actual birthday day being on Sunday 16 June.
