West Brom face a quick turn-around as they return to The Hawthorns to face Millwall this Saturday (September, 23) in their EFL Championship clash.

The Baggies drew 2-2 with Watford at Vicarage Road on Wednesday night, in addition to the point they picked up in a goalless draw with Bristol City.

It looks like Carlos Corberan’s side came through unscathed in midweek but did suffer an injury at Ashton Gate last weekend which has left the Spanish boss short in some areas.

Millwall like West Brom were in midweek action and won 3-0 against Rotherham United, getting them back to winning ways after a defeat to Leeds United on Sunday afternoon.

Below is the latest team and injury news ahead of West Brom v Millwall:

West Brom team news

Josh Maja became the latest player to join the injured list after sustaining an ankle injury against Bristol City. The summer signing needed to be helped off at the weekend and the extent of his injury has been revealed - ligament damage to his ankle - which will keep him out for the next eight weeks.

West Brom are short of striking options and Brandon Thomas-Asante is likely to hold down that position. Carlos Corberan has considered using Jed Wallace and Jeremy Sarimento as false nines, whilst Tom Fellows has also emerged as an option.

Daryl Dike (achilles) is the other striker sidelined, and there is a hope that he can make a safe return given the lack of options. The 23-year-old returned to the USA for his rehabilitation and could return come November/

As for Adam Reach, he is out for the remainder of the year after suffering an injury to his quad. Martin Kelly was due to return to training in August but has not made a match-day squad this season.

Out: Adam Reach, Daryl Dike, Josh Maja and Martin Kelly.

Millwall team news

Kevin Nisbet (ankle) is set to miss out this weekends clash after being forced off in Millwall's win over Rotherham. The striker departed the pitch in the 55th minute with no one around him, and will now undergo a scan.

“I’ve just watched it again down there, there’s no one around him,” said manager Gary Rowett to the South London Press when asked about the extent of the injury.

“He almost turns his ankle – it looks quite bad.

“I don’t know until a couple of days settles down. I’d imagine he’s going to be out, certainly for the weekend and then, depending on the scan results, we will see. It didn’t look great, but it’s impossible for me to say at this moment in time.”

Arsenal loanee Brooke Norton-Cuffy also had to be replaced - but he suffered cramp - and is expected to play a part at the weekend.

George Honeyman has been dealing with a quad injury, and is a doubt having missed the last two matches. Shaun Hutchinson (calf) is expected to be out for the next three weeks after picking up an injury before the international break against Birmingham.

Goalkeeper Matija Sarkic (quad) is another doubt. He has missed the last two games and Bartosz Bialkowski has played in the place of the Wolves loanee.
