Gary O’Neil has confirmed Rayan Ait-Nouri, Craig Dawson and Hwang Hee-chan will all be in the matchday squad for Wolverhampton Wanderers’ trip to Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon.

Hwang and Dawson haven’t featured since the start of March due to hamstring and groin problems respectively but they’ve been in full training this week and are ready to play. Ait-Nouri, meanwhile, has been a doubt after he suffered a calf issue against West Ham United last week but he’s been given the all-clear.

There’s bad news for Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, however, as the £12.8 million signing remains sidelined with a knee injury. It was first thought the problem wasn’t serious but the timeline is growing. In a final update, Matheus Cunha has stepped up his fitness levels after two substitute appearances.

“Hee-chan is in the matchday squad, which is fantastic news for us,” said head coach O’Neil via The Athletic. “Cunha is still fine and in the squad and Dawson is still in the squad.

“It probably comes too quickly for Bellegarde. Rayan will travel with the group. He’s had a different week to everyone else and he’s had a slight issue but I envisage him playing a part,” O’Neil said.
