All the latest news surrounding Wolverhampton Wanderers as Julen Lopetegui shapes his squad for the new season.

Wolves are now stepping up their pre-season preparations with players back at base.

With summer holidays now over for the vast majority of players, Julen Lopetegui’s men are back in the Midlands to begin pre-season, undergoing testing and beginning early fitness work. In the meantime, club chiefs will be hard at work on new signings as Wolves look to put a disappointing campaign behind them, albeit they did improve towards the back-end of the campaign.

With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest news surrounding Molineux as Lopetegui looks to put his own stamp on his squad.

Kilman latest

Wolves face losing Max Kilman this summer amid reported interest from Serie A champions Napoli.

It’s reported Wolves want around £35million for Kilman, but Napoli are said to be around £5million short with their opening bid.

Discussing the news, transfer insider Dean Jones, who has said: “It is a bit of a bizarre bid; I really wouldn’t expect them to be looking to do that. Kilman has obviously had interest in the Premier League as well, but the fact that Wolves fans don’t seem that fussed about losing him suggests it would be quite a strange transfer.”

Traore interest

Former Wolves star Adama Traore looks set to land a new club this summer after seeing his Molineux contract expire.

Roma have been hot on the tail of the Spaniard this summer, but there is also interest from AC Milan, according to reports. Fichajes say Milan want to sign Traore on a free transfer this summer, and Traore himself is said to prefer a move to Milan over Roma.

Traore will have the freedom of holding discussions and picking his next opportunity after seeing his contract at Wolves tick down to zero. It seems likely the winger will end up in Italy for the coming season.
