Premier League confirm major news impacting Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Chelsea players and fans

Aston Villa will prepare for next season by taking part in the Premier League Summer Series pre-season tournament across the United States this summer.

Unai Emery will lead the Villains across the pond alongside Newcastle United, Brentford, Brighton and Hove Albion, Chelsea and Fulham for the Stateside tour this July.

Fixtures will take place across five cities on the East Coast between July 22 and 30 with the Villains beginning their pre-season campaign against The Magpies in Landover, Maryland on Sunday, July 30.

Fans hoping to make the trip to the United States this summer, or Premier League lovers already living in the cities, have been invited to register their interest via the league's official website.

Aston Villa's list of fixtures for the Summer Series is as follows (with local kick-off time):

1) Sunday, July 23 at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia

Newcastle United v Aston Villa (7 pm)

2) Wednesday, July 26 at Exploria Stadium, Orlando

Fulham v Aston Villa (7 pm)

3) Sunday, July 30 at FedEx Field, Landover, Maryland

Aston Villa v Brentford (12 pm)

The pre-season fixtures will give fans the chance to see their side for the first time after the end of the Premier League season and get a first look at any new signings the club may make during the summer transfer window.

Villa fans were quick to welcome the news, praising the announcement as they shared their excitement for the summer.
