Brighton vs Aston Villa team news: De Zerbi and Emery name lineups in Premier League

The lineups have been unveiled at the American Express Stadium for Brighton & Hove Albion vs Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Roberto De Zerbi and Unai Emery have named their respective starting lineups and substitutes ahead of this afternoon’s Premier League clash between Brighton & Hove Albion and Aston Villa at the American Express Stadium.

Today’s visitors can move 10 points clear in fourth with a win, meaning a defeat for Tottenham Hotspur away at Liverpool later on will confirm UEFA Champions League qualification for next season.

Emery and his men have great motivation as a result but Brighton are in a bit of a rut, to say the least. The Seagulls are now 13th in the Premier League standings, four points outside the top half. There are two games in hand to try and push into 10th or above but it will be tricky.

The big news for Villa today is Emiliano Martinez remains out with his hamstring injury. Robin Olsen starts in goal, with a back four of Ezri Konsa, Diego Carlos, Pau Torres and Lucas Digne ahead of him.

Albion, meanwhile, replace Jason Steele between the sticks with Bart Verbruggen. Danny Welbeck leads the line, with Facundo Buonanotte, Joao Pedro and Simon Adingra in support.
