Parents of missing West Bromwich man John Barrett issue emotional appeal to find him

The mother and father of missing West Bromwich man John Barrett have made an emotional plea to find him.
The 35-year-old went missing from his home on 29 May and has not been seen since.

Hide AdJohn has type 1 diabetes, and police do not believe he has his medication with him.
The force said he may have attended pharmacies to get his medication, so if you work in a pharmacy in the Sandwell area, police are particularly asking those workers to keep an eye out for John.
Family appeal
In an appeal, his parents Carl and Lorraine said: “Come home John, let us know you’re okay, we love you, you’re not in trouble. We miss you so badly and love you to bits.”
DI Alison Briedgewater from the police’s Locate team, said: “We don’t believe John will have left the Sandwell area, so we are particularly focused on residents of Sandwell to help us find him or send us any information.

Hide Ad“We have released several appeals to trace John since 29 May. Lots of people have contacted us with potential sightings, so we want to thank everyone who has got in touch. We have followed up these lines of enquiry, but unfortunately John has still not been found.”
John is 5ft 9ins tall, has short brown hair and was clean shaven when he went missing. He was last seen wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, a black coat and blue trainers.
A police statement read: “If you have see him, please call 999 immediately so we can get officers to check he is OK straight away.
“If you think you have any more information on his whereabouts, or any footage of anyone you believe is John, please contact us via Live Chat on our website, quoting PID 390053. Thank you.”
